Error establishing a database connection

Can anyone tell me what's going on? I don't know what happen to my database.. in my box10 account it all disappear and when I try to make a new database this is what i get:
Error connecting to MySQL: Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock' (2)..
